Broadband Facts

The FCC requires every internet provider to publish a standardized “Broadband Facts” label — modeled on the nutrition labels on food, with the same information in the same format, so you can compare plans across providers. We think that’s the right idea. Pricing and performance should be easy to understand, transparent, and free of surprises.

You know the routine. An introductory rate that doubles after 12 months. A $14/month “equipment rental fee” for a router you could buy for $60. An “internet infrastructure surcharge” that is, as far as anyone can tell, just charging you for the internet on top of already charging you for the internet. “Up to” speeds that have never once been observed in nature.

Bundle “savings” that require you to add a phone line nobody will ever use. And cancellation processes designed by someone who took the Hotel California a little too literally.

Ours are simple. The price is the price. The speeds are real. There are no contracts, no data caps, no bundle requirements, and no equipment rental fees. You can cancel with a phone call, and we will not transfer you to a “retention specialist” whose job is to make you feel bad about it.

We’re also proud of two things most providers hope you never read: our Privacy Policy and our Network Management Policy. We encourage you to read both — and then try to find the equivalent from your current provider. We’ll wait.

Essential 03

Monthly Price $50.00

Services provided on a month-to-month basis with no lock-in contract. Stated pricing is not introductory.

We prefer straightforward pricing to bundle stacks and mail-in rebate scavenger hunts.

Installation & one-time fees

Standard on-site installation$200 (one-time)

Roof, mast, pole, or tree — if we hang the dish and get you online the usual way, this is the line. The first three hours of technician time are covered; we almost never need more.

If you need something truly heroic (a cable run measured in football fields, weird construction, or anything past those three hours), we’ll quote it before we accidentally build you a theme park.

Remote activation$100 (one-time)

If you’re lucky enough to already have an installation in your house, just plug it in and call us up, and we’ll get your service turned on.

Taxes & government fees$0.00000

We don’t invent a “regulatory cost recovery” fee and hope you blame the government.

Additional terms

Early termination fee$0

No lock-in contract to break — but we’ll be super sad if you leave :<

Affordable Connectivity Program & local support

We offer discounted service for households in need and for local nonprofits and community organizations — without the paperwork marathon of typical government programs. How we help →

Capacity & speed scenarios

  • Typical browsing: Streaming, email, video calls, and everyday browsing: the vast majority of your time online is at 80 Mbps download and upload.
  • Peak speed test: The peak speed test value — what you see in the first few seconds — is typically 110 Mbps download and upload.
  • Speed test result: The speed test result — the final number when the test finishes, like Ookla reports at the end — is typically 35 Mbps download and upload.
  • Very large downloads: Operating system updates and game updates sustain at about 12 Mbps download and upload.

Data Included with Monthly Price

Data usage is unlimited. We don’t pretend to be running a water company here. Use it as much as you like. We love it when people use our service.
